Are you living a purpose-full life?
Today I was inspired by Oprah's show with Will Smith. i don't watch Oprah very often but I decided to watch it today because I like Will Smith. Ms. Oprah did a wonderful interview and I really enjoyed the show.
Will Smith talked about living a life that has purpose andthat rang so true for me since I am so committed to living my Soul Purpose. I love my business, I love my company and i like the idea of empowering people to hear their calling and live out their Soul Purpose. Will said unless you are making someone else's life better, then you're wasting your time. He talked about his purpose of making people's lives better and that was inspiring and refreshing. He continued by saying that "your life will become better by making someone else's life better".
The discussion then progressed to a discussion about loss, what is loss and how do we react to loss in our lives. We often see our life on a continuim or straight line. A straight line beginning with birth, then life, and ends with death. BUT then there is rebirth; and we often miss that. It is really more circular involving birth, life, death and rebirth. This is a natural law, the way nature works. you see it in plants in their seasonal cycle. Someone also pointed out to me a few years ago that if you look at a limb of a tree or plant there is always a scar where there is a new growth. Growth often involves pain and even death. Death of an idea, a vision, a goal, a relationship a thing. But once that loss occurs there is then a rebirth that also is possible and occurs if we open ourselves up to accepting what God (the Universe) has in store for us.
It is neccessary to remember that when you loose something the death is painful but you have to stay awake for the rebirth that God is about to offer you.
Staying awake, being faithful and being open is important for our rebirth and our continued growth.
It is important for me to remember that also I have suffered great losses in my life, it is important to note that in every instance there was a rebirth, a healing, but most important new opportunities that have occured in my life after those losses. But it required alot of strength and courage, faith and openess to his will in order for the rebirth to occur and for me to continue on the journey of God's will in my life.
Much love to you today.
My hope for you is that there is purpose in your life and that you stay open to growth and rebirth.

I have also learned from experience that whether it's something that happened as long ago as my early childhood or as recently as yesterday, the past can keep me from moving into all God has for me. That's why He wants to set us free from it. And not only that, He wants to Redeem and Restore what has been lost or destroyed in our past and make it count for something important in our lives to be a testimony to others.
May this Prayer uplift and encourage us all so that we may "Stay awake for the Rebirth" that God is about to offer us through our Visionary, Nadine Abraham Thompson and Soulpurpose Lifestyle Company.
Lord, I release my past to You and everyone associated with it so You can Restore what has been lost. Everything that was done to me or I have done which causes me pain, I surrender to You. May it no longer torment me or affect what I do today. Thank You that You make all things new and You are making me new in every way.
Then He who sat on the throne said, "Behold, I make all things new." Revelation 21:5

Giving from your abundance is my prayer for the Soul Purpose Lifestyle Community.
What is giving from your abundance? It is about giving; of the things that really matter from the heart and from your spirit, it is not so much about what we have, but what we are and how we feel. When we live in ‘what is right with me and my world’ and not ‘what is wrong with me and my world’, we are beginning to awaken to this possibility of abundance. This means taking full responsibility for where we place our attention and noticing the effect of our thoughts because our life's abundance comes not from without, but from deep within.
Nadine Thompson has demonstrated what “Giving out your Abundance” look like by creating a company that cultivate new inspiration, nourishes our imagination, and discover our Soul Purpose. This selfless acts combined with your self-determination will create a flow outward and inward in ever-increasing possibilities. So as we enter into the New Year with expectation and profound possibilities, remember you are your greatest assets to make your Soul Purpose business a success! And give abundantly in everything you do. The rewards are great!
I am come that they might have life, and that they might have it more abundantly. JOHN 10:10B

I came across this devotional and thought it was very fitting for this topic and thought I would share it with the community. It is very powerful and touched me in my point of need. Enjoy and I pray that you are blessed by this. Here it is:

Die To Self!
December 24th, 2008
It's a wonderful day to be a child of God. Have you ever found yourself warring between your will and the will of God? Although you know God is able and faithful, you still find yourself battling his perfect will versus your selfish will. Although you know God would never lead you wrong, you still find yourself questioning. Although you know God would never withhold any good thing from you, within you still wonder what you will miss out on if you submit. Although you know God's `yes' means `yes' and His `no' means `no', you still find yourself trying to negotiate with the Lord. Have you ever been there before? Are you there now? At the point in your life when you are seriously considering disobeying the Lord. At the point in your life when you ask others to intercede on your behalf about a certain matter, although you know and heard what the Lord has said.
Today, I have been commissioned to come and minister to you. My friend, everyday we must Die To Self! Each day we must allow the Holy Spirit to crucify our flesh. No matter how sanctified you proclaim you are, we all have experienced a time in our walk with the Lord where we heard His voice clearly and still did not obey (this is the sin of omission). Even now, there are some of you reading this devotional knowing you are operating in rebellion toward God's will. Child of God, I am not saying it is easy. It is a challenge to deny yourself of things you really want. However, I would rather deny myself of desires that will potentially cause me pain, than to deny myself of God's bountiful blessings that will forever be there in my life. The Bible declares in 1 Samuel 15:22-23 - … Behold, to obey is better than sacrifice, and to hearken than the fat of rams. 23 For rebellion is as the sin of witchcraft, and stubbornness is as iniquity and idolatry...
My brother, my sister, whatever the Lord says, DO IT! Beloved, Die To Self! Allow me to close this devotional with an excerpt from the book Healing, Spirit, Soul and Body by Betty Miller: When you are purposely set aside, rejected, forgotten, and hurt with the insult of oversight — but your spirit sings because you are being counted worthy to suffer for Christ, that is "Dying to Self." When your advice is disregarded, your opinions ridiculed, and all manner of evil is spoken against you, and you refuse to let anger rise in your heart, or even defend yourself, but take it all with patient, loving silence, that is "dying to self." When you do not allow any disorder, irregularity or arrogance to come against your peace, when you are face to face with filth, waste, stupidity or spiritual pride, and endure it as Jesus endured it, that is "dying to self." When you are content with the location you live, the climate, the society, the solitude of the "backside of the desert," and are willing to have your plans changed or interrupted by the will of God at any moment, that is "dying to self." When you never care to have others know of your good works, and never refer to yourself in conversation, or even care to have anyone commend you, when you truly love to be the unknown, that is "dying to self." When you can see your brother prosper and have his needs met, and can honestly rejoice with him in the Spirit, and feel no envy, nor question God as to why your own needs are not being met, that is "dying to self." When you can receive correction and reproof, finding no rebellion or resentment rising up in your heart, that is "dying to self."
Scripture Reading for Today: Romans 6:11
May God Bless you at Your point of need!
Minister Darrick D. McGhee
And no man putteth new wine into old bottles; else the new wine will burst the bottles, and be spilled, and the bottles shall perish. But new wine must be put into new bottles; and both are preserved. No man also having drunk old wine straightway desireth new: for he saith, The old is better. LUKE 5:37-39
"In Jesus' time on earth, animal skins were used as we do beverage bottles to day for storing and carrying. Because used, old wine skins (bottles) had lost their elasticity, being less flexible. If new wine were put in an old skin, the chemical activity and expansion of the new wine would cause the old skin to swell, crack and rupture, spilling the valuable wine. Not only that, a perfectly good old wine skin, useful for old wine, would be ruined.
The significance of this passage is that Jesus stating that faith of Judaism and the new faith of Christianity cannot mix. What does this mean today? , we can not go into this new year with the old ways (thinking, believing, seeking God, trusting etc..) we have to become the new wine skin.
This New year many may have started off with good intentions-but like some good intention- it starts off with great enthusiasm but over time it comes to a slow pace or to squeaking halt. This year let’s make a commitment that we will never quit growing and reaching toward Jesus. While resolutions may come and go with each New Year, the commitment to grow with Jesus continues right up to the moment we meet him face-to-face.
Have a Soul-filled New Year
